Definitely, we use the Imperial system after all.
I get to lay in a bed by myself, all of my life. It’s fantastic!
8th grade. A girl tells me in the presence of classmates, “I love youuuu.” I just think it’s a joke/prank so I reply, “I’m too young!” Later she privately asks me if I meant that. It didn’t click for me until high school.
Fresh out of an all-boys high school, so no interaction with girls since 8th grade. Freshman year college, fall semester. Classmate says she’s cold and hooks her arm in mine on the walk to lecture. This happens every day. Another classmate asks if we’re dating, and I say no, she’s just cold.
Same semester, same class, in a lab section, it’s warm. I ask my lab partner (different from arm girl) doesn’t she feel hot, why not take off her sweater. She looks at my and says, “I’m not wearing anything underneath.” Next day in lecture she’s dresssd up really nice and sits next to me.
Every day in this lecture these 3 girls sit with me. My high school buddy who’s also in the class tells me, while we’re studying, he thinks it’s hilarious that I’m surrounded by girls. I shrug it off.
Studies show that 100% of people who injected high doses of bleach didn’t die of COVID. Checkmate, jabbers.

I don’t even remember :(
College freshman flying back home for the summer. Not used to flying. Got to my gate about half hour before boarding. Hungry. Went to closest restaurant a couple gates away, got a burrito and ate at a table while listening to music with headphones. Lost track of time. That burrito had my full attention. Missed all the overhead calls for me. Plane had departed by the time I casually walked back to my gate.
And it is quite a hill! Pens, nib grinds, inks, papers and notebooks, cleaning/maintenance, penmanship! I feel like Pooh hitting the honey jackpot. It really is a delight writing without applying pressure.
How did you find out about it?
For me it started with r/pens, which led to r/fountainpens.
Ruth’s Chris. Best ribeye I’ve ever had at a chain restaurant. Also the most expensive. It’s the only restaurant ribeye that has never disappointed me.
I always catch myself about to abbreviate it DTF, and then I type out the entire name.
I’m enjoying FF16 and don’t regret buying it full price, but it does have its flaws. For these flaws I don’t see it winning GOTY.
As I’m getting older, I appreciate storytelling more and more. The FF series has that, and FF16 continues that. The side quests start out meh, but they get better as each one delves into the lore and socioeconomics and politics of this FF world. The combat hasn’t grown stale for me. You can adjust difficulty by equipping certain rings, for example one that auto-dodges enemy attacks where possible. I equipped that because I wanted to focus on building combos. I had trouble focusing when the action gets overwhelming (too many enemies, too much visual animation from some of the Eikon powers). It’s nifty to be able to customize your experience.
For me, two disappointing things. First, even after the update, there are still some framerate issues. I’m not even picky, but it lagged at several points in the game. And my PS5 is <1 year old. Second, I’ve picked up a lot of crafting materials but most of it won’t get used. There’s not much depth to crafting. Equipping those crafted items ups your stats, but doesn’t change the appearance of your character. The only change in appearance is your sword.
The story, IMO, has little lightheartedness. Sure there are a few bits of comedy, but it just gets more serious. Sad stuff happens. Prior to FF16 I was playing FF7 Remake, maybe got about 10 hours in. Different tone. FF16 digs into war and how it affects the common folk, especially with the side quests. I’m hooked on the main plot AND the side quests.
I’m liking FF16 such that it’s the only game I’m playing at the moment. Typically I juggle a few games to change things up.
I really enjoyed Judgment for the story and characters. The banter in some cutscenes has that anime kind of comedy, example (spoiler-free). The action/fighting is fun enough. IMO it would’ve gotten stale if not for the new moves you unlock as you progress. The side games are difficult, at least for me anyways, so I didn’t put much time into them. Not a game I would replay, but plenty of interest in the storytelling to continue with the sequel Lost Judgment.
As a former guitar player, I spent over half an hour in Tchia playing the ukulele. I didn’t get far in the game because I got sidetracked with Judgment. But my favorite part of the game so far was the cultural music. After your review, I’m going to have to get back to it at some point. And Uncharted LL.
Currently playing FF16, I’m about 80% done.
I clicked just to see. You’re absolutely right.
That includes birds with arms, yeah?
Alright, I’ll come clean, I sang that out loud.
Electric toothbrush. When I don’t have it with me, brushing manually is such a chore. A device performs better than I do and I embrace it.
Prescription glasses. I remember getting to look at a tree with improved sight, and it was wonderful.
Air purifier. Has really helped my allergies.
