I don’t use pocket any more but I tried it out. I think the benefit was that you had the sync of articles to read between all devices with pocket.
Personally, I use a browser for specific sites or searches. I use apps like Lemmy (connect) for content discovery pocket is a bridge between the two. It also allowed sharing between peopke. So rather than sharing a link by email or WhatsApp, I’d just add it to their pocket.

Lol, European records aren’t about payment, but patient care. The records undoubtedly show what was taken but the financial records may not. The fee may have been a standard fee for medication or free. It might be different for a non resident receiving care too, but likely the internal records would be the same.

The BBC is a respected broadcaster in the UK that shows no ads as it is government funded. They have investments abroad that have ads showing their programs, for profit to fund more programming. It doesn’t change their mission. In fact, some shows have cone from their for-profit division. You can have values and be for the people but still live on the real world.
Again, possible to recycle does not mean they are actually recycled or economic to recycle. Many things are possible to recycle. Most are not. If their form factor or material makes them costly to recycle, they wont be. You say they are cheap. What cost to make new? What cost to collect, sort and recycle?

A lot of stuff marked as recyclable is technically recyclable but cost prohibitive to do so. I don’t know what type of plastic these cups are, but when they claim recyclable, it should specify percent actually being recycled.
I’m liking aldi at the moment. They list all the separate parts of packaging for me and how it can be disposed. I hope its just a step to moving more to biodegradable rather than recyclable.

Yes. But its by attrition. There won’t be a programmer replaced by AI directly. Their colleagues will take over their work and have higher workloads but be more efficient. That’s ways been the way.
A robot won’t replace individual programmers. AI and improved processes will mean quicker code review and less programmers needed. There will be a net loss of programmer jobs but an individual programmer won’t be replaced. Rather the remaining programmers create more (as a percent, not absolute) code with better tools.
Lol, if you mean facebooks AI will skew more towards the views of American Facebook users, I’d say that’s a win for Europe. It will make the AI less valuable, creating a gap in the market for a better AI that can reflect European values or american or both.
AI does not need infinite data. They can easily licence that amount of content. They are just trying to do it cheaply with user content.
I gully expect use for AI training to become a standardized part of locencing for media and content going forwards. For a band or singer, or author, it may be they ibky get a small amoint for using their content but it won’t be stolen. There is minimal value in any one part of the content. There is value in the aggregate of lots of data.
Digitized books out of copyright have more archaic language but I expect we will see lots of media out of copyright being used also. Media organization that make movies, TV shows and publish newspapers and magazines also have a trove of content.
As an Australian, originally from Ireland I’m surprised California would be hottest place. I would have though Australia or middle east would be hotter than California. I’ve loved a summer in San Diego and it was hot but not stifling. Sydney is not crazy hot by Australian standards and its oppressive heat when a heatwave comes.
Saying that, I’m now more familiar with how much humidity plays a part. Dry heat like 40degrees in Adelaide is much more comfortable than humid 35 in Sydney. When its 43 in Sydney, its best to stay inside. I’ve never been to Greece but if its similar to other Mediterranean countries, I’d say its moderately humid, rather than dry. California is similar I’d imagine, but a little drier.
I thought the second one was great for exactly the reason that they subverted the generic trope of good guy, bland. Then they found success with that and just repeated it ad nauseam.
I watched GoT all the way through and found it disappointing. However I’m now doing a rewatch and enjoying it. Looking back, the first season is less creative than I remembered. Its just played with great conviction. There are some great quotes though and the budget for sets and set pieces is amazing.
On rewatch lots of stuff i missed makes more sense now that I’m familiar with the world and characters, even knowing how it ends.

I would suggest that if someone is using neither, perhaps consider podman as open source. However, I too would need a reason to move. I mainly use synology for images, so its their container manager, rather than docker but my understanding is its docker under the hood.
