On a serious note, maybe just let people work however they like to work? Dark theme everywhere has been such a blessing for me as it is way less straining on my eyes. (Almost everywhere, fuck you google calendar. Wish I didn’t have to use you at work.)

I think what’s even worse than ads is many channels now require verification through a phone number if you want to write something. Not sure when that became a thing but I just recently ran into this roadblock and noped tf out.

I feel for me it’s more like:

A problem is presented to me that I haven’t encountered before but I feel like I’m expected to help. So I start talking while my brain works its way through all possible scenarios leading to me rambling on until I maybe possibly arrive at a conclusion which will hopefully make the whole thing make sense in the end.

Of course later, once the situation has long resolved, my brain will have completed a few other calculations subconsciously and I will know for sure that I was an idiot and you, the person I tried to help, will probably think so too. 😆

When I was working retail in a technical environment I had a customer come in wanting to buy product X. Since I’ve always just wanted to help people I suggested product Y for its superior quality and longevity at a slightly higher cost. The customer started raging at me how dare I try to upsell him something he didn’t ask for. Other customers turning their head and all. He left fuming saying he’d go to another store.

A day later said customer came back into the store and I was already bracing myself. Turns out he compared the products on the website and read some reviews and realized I was right. He apologized and bought the product.

It was not really satisfying, just turning a negative into a neutral I guess.

Strongbox or in your case probably Strongbox Zero. Costs a pretty penny but well worth it in my book.

I think you are overestimating the value of “real”, if “real” can even be defined much less proven in many cases including love. Just look at religion and social media for examples of what the human mind is capable of creating an illusion around.

Don’t get me wrong, I do value things that you probably would consider real. But who am I to say they are.
