Putting hard drives to sleep when not in use can akso drastically decrease power consumption. But for that to work, the OS cannot be on there and things that potentially get accessed rather often neither.
Want to improve my system by doing exactly that and spinning the hard drives only up, if one watches a movie from plex. Nextcloud is on a ssd and should not make any problems anymore :)
Never heard of anything like that. Do you know anything where I can read up on it? Is it dependent on the country you live in and the stabliness of the powergrid? Because I do not even remember the last time I had no power, probably 5-10 years ago.
My switch died after about 4 years. A capacitor burned, tried to replace it, but still nothing happens… dont know if Ill get it to work again
Its legal in the EU. You can sell your windows key for example, despite the windows eula disallowing it
Well, we paid probably what the case costs for valve to make… so like 3$ maybe…? Id say that is pretty much “for free”
Battery life is probably gonna be real bad. Dave2D said the lowest cTDP the APU can do is 15W, up to 30W at the highest. That would drain the battery in no time.
Also have you seen the cooling system? 4 heatpipes and two fans, this is designed to draw loads of power. In my opinion misses the point of the formfactor.
No real competitor to the deck.
Just the name is different, since a german news magazine already claims the name “fokus”. Mozilla was forced to rename its browser because of that
Not really what you asked for, but here in germany exist networks of big telegram groups where people give away their stuff for free. Maybe something like it exists also where you live.
Here theyre called “natural ressources”
Also the german pirates are often incredibly sexist. Overall really not voteable
Is there a difference to the calibre plugin (https://github.com/Leseratte10/acsm-calibre-plugin), besides being an independent program?
On iOS, yes. On MacOS, no.
Yea, docker only eats up storage. And not even much, if you share the same base image.
Not really any CPU or RAM overhead
No. After the pairing process Bluetooth is of course encrypted. If you can tap in before that, well then you could maybe do a mitm or something
There are low latency codecs available
GNU/Linux, cringe. Just say Linux, most tools that come with distros are not even GNU nowadays
That would be awesome!
