You can also play with it to try and get closer to correct. I had problems with getting an Excel macro working and getting unattended-updates working on my pihole. GPT was wrong at first, but got me partly there and I could massage the question and Google and get closer to the right answer. Without it, I wouldn’t have been able to get any of it, especially with the macro.
That is what is frustrating. He doesn’t really mean what you “see”. He means go with your gut/surface level feelings and understanding. If you “see” something that goes against what you see or what you feel without any specialized knowledge on the subject, go with your priors.
Did you get a browser error when trying this? It might be because you left the www in the URL. I had to remove that and replace it with old, and it works. The rest of the link structure is the same on both old and new reddit. I even tried it from a VPN just to be sure it wasn’t seeing my logged in cookies, and in a private browsing window where RES isn’t allowed to run. Worked fine.
Private Internet Access works for me. Just tested logged out in an incognito mode tab.
Interesting. I’ll have to test it when I get home. I’m always signed in and I use RES so could be some other factors causing it to not be a problem for me.
Old Reddit works for me, but I am logged into an account.
That is basically what they did. There are a decent amount of third party apps around that work. I personally use Narwhal.
The further we get from the whole third party app debacle, the more I think this was just a way to kill the most popular apps. The ones that people said made reddit worth using. The ones that got shouted out in Apple keynotes.
Old Reddit works for me. Does it just not work in general for you, or does it not work when not logged into an account?
The things you listed are not only staples, but also pretty basic and essentially the foods when trying to eat on a budget. What about beef, chicken, eggs, etc?
Being an idiot in that situation is true, but in your example is also true that the item he was buying has gone up 50% in price. It doesn’t matter that the item is extravagant, it still has gone up significantly. That’s pretty much across the board with food.
You need good software to make the most out of good hardware, but I think our definition of good is different. For software, as long as the software doesn’t get in the way of launching the app you want, most normies will consider that good. It doesn’t matter that Android is bloated and inefficient if the user can tap the Instagram or Facebook icon and have that open up without user perceptible delay.
The average person is remarkably able to put up with shit. Look at the experience on smart TVs for example. The vast majority of people are fine with the absolutely shitty experience as long as they can open up Netflix.
Use what you like. Just like Windows, macOS and Linux for the vast majority of people, all these OSes are, are platforms to display apps and webpages. They all have sanded off most of the rough edges meaning that unless you have specific niche needs/wants, you’ll just use what is familar and be happy.
Life is too short to have deep feelings about an OS.
Yeah, I can’t imagine what about Graphene would make that big of a difference. Smart phones and slabs of glass with apps on them. There’s very little that truly impacts the experience after you get past specs.
It’s why I cancelled last year. I got it for free through my FIOS Internet connection for a few years, but after that went away I paid for a year. But the price increase was just not worth the like 2 shows and maybe one movie that I watched on it a year.
It’s because so much conspiracy theory requires the conspirators to be simultaneously all powerful but hilariously weak and stupid. And all their plans have to be announced and hinted at through pop culture and in ways that are suspiciously similar to popular movies and TV shows as remembered by people with no media literacy.
I just finished Spiderman 2. I enjoyed it. It’s technically ambitious with the city being so huge but detailed, second load screens for fast travel and just generally beautiful. It adds a lot more combat mechanics and balances some broken mechanics. The story was heartfelt and well done for the most part as well with a few non-combat sections that really let me relate to Peter and his relationships with Harry Osborn and MJ. Yurenthal as Peter Parker put in some emotional performances.
But the gameplay overall is extremely iterative. And the last third or so is extremely rushed with whole plot lines being crammed in and resolved in literal minutes.
If you liked the first game and just want more and “better”, you will get that with this game. I was definitely satisfied.
That hasn’t been a concern for me since the early days of the modern smartphone era. But I can see it being an issue for older phones with worn out batteries or something.
There is a huge need for Israel to actually prove this shit. I’ve seen only two pieces of evidence that they aren’t just collectively wilding out and killing everyone in Gaza. One piece was a brand new version of Mein Kampf that they swear came from a “child’s living room” whatever the fuck that means. And the other one was blurry images of a Hamas terrorist that might have been beside a hospital.
Israel is in the top 5 of military powers and they’re supposedly fighting terrorists that they’ve fought for decades who have essentially no modern military capability besides on the ground street fighting. If they have intelligence that Hamas is using hospitals, refugee camps, ambulances, the routes Israel said civilians can use for escape, etc, it seems like there would be no risk in releasing that.
It’s put up or shut time. Because all we’re seeing is a bunch of evidence of genocide and war crimes. So show us the evidence or just go full mask off (rather than the 80% mask off that they seem to be doing so far) and just admit that Israel is trying to turn Gaza into a parking lot with all that means for civilians.
Oh, I didn’t even think about that. Definitely makes sense.
