  • First of all, that’s very well put. Secondly, voting is anonymous for a reason. What happens at the ballot box is between you and your conscience. Nobody has the right to tell you how to vote. Third of all, fuck, man, I’m so tired of living in this reality. Jesus Christ we really are at the point where we have to choose between endorsing genocide or something even worse. Wish I knew the way to fix this situation, but I’m dumb as shit. Just do the best you can.

  • I have always been a nintendo fan, but I haven’t bought a single thing from them since news of his sentencing came out. Until Gary is freed I’m buying used, pirating, or doing without. I can’t support the company anymore. I need a new controller for my switch (because all four of my existing controllers have broken in some way), and rather than buying an official or licensed controller, I just bought an adapter that let me use other controllers like the dualsense.

Side note, I know he’s “freed” as in not in prison, but he’s still basically owned by nintendo for life. It’s slavery.

  • I have an RG353V. I got that one for ~the aesthetic~ (looks like an old gameboy), and I do like it, but I can see why people generally suggest a model with a horizontal form factor instead, since the vertical (gameboy shaped) is not very ergonomic. I mainly stick to 8 or 16-bit games. but it should be able to handle 5th gen consoles (saturn, ps, n64) just fine, but 6th gen (dc, ps2, gamecube) will depend on what game you’re running and may require tweaking the settings. ps3 is right out, I’m afraid.

Like I said, I mainly run older stuff, so double check what I’m saying if 5th and 6th gen games are important to you. I don’t really mess with those.

  • OK, this doesn’t have swipe to type or a notepad, but I’m trying out Thumb-Key. It’s a very different sort of keyboard, almost akin to the old-fashioned way of texting with just the number keys on a phone, just updated for a smartphone screen. The problem is that it takes practice/memorization to learn, because it’s a whole new layout. It’s open source and very privacy conscious (there’s no predictive text or autocorrect).
