    Huh, I always thought webp was supposed to be great. Though admittedly I’m taking his word there is a significant difference, since I’m reading on my phone. Would be funny to shit on a format and have both example images being the exact same image.

    I see what they are pointing out, but frankly, it’s so slight that, unless you are running a photography website, you should probably still just go for lower file size. I don’t think 99.9% of people will notice, and page speed is paramount.
