Ye I think most of us are just tired of seeing all the hate spew other sites have. It’s much more of a pleasant experience to just chill

It’s weird how frequently people disagree but talk to eachother with respect on lemmy.

I have found Lemmy worse, but I never went on the default subs on Reddit so maybe my experience was better than most.

I’m sorry you’ve found it worse. Reddit was always incredibly toxic for me and even smaller communities were terrible.

Those pants tho, I just can’t get over them (15 yrs later). It’s like they ran out of the bathroom in a hurry saying “yo fool, check this deuce I just dropped! Where’s the poop knife I gotta cut this shit!”

I tell my clients it comes from prison as a sign you were looking for sex.

Close and possibly true for some, but apparently it was more just that they weren’t allowed to have belts to hold up their pants. When people got released, they continued to wear them loose because they were comfortable. The trend then spread to hip hop and other cultures in the 90s.

Big older brother hand me downs or something, that’s probably apocryphal though.

Mostly I just want to say, respect to the guy on the left for wearing his trousers basically normally.
